Morgan Stanley, one of the 15 biggest wealth managers in the world with a presence in Asia since 1987, is seeing a fair bit of churn amongst its Asian senior management.
Pascal Boneu (pictured left), head of market and investment advisory for the bank’s private wealth management business in Asia, resigned from that role at the end of July, a source familiar with the matter told finews.asia.
News of the departure of Boneu, who continues to be with the bank but not in its Asia operations, comes shortly after Karn Karuhadej, country head for the bank’s onshore wealth management business in Thailand, headed for LGT. Both Boneu and Karn were managing directors and considered key to the franchise in the region.
The bank is believed to have appointed a replacement for Boneu.
In addition to the two client-facing staff, two other executives have resigned from Morgan Stanley: Melody Huang, a business manager in the bank's Hong Kong branch administration and management team, and Vanessa Drevet, operating chief for its investment management services.
