After a hiring spree that boosted headcount last year, Liechtenstein-based private bank LGT is adding more bankers in Asia.
In recent years Vaduz, Liechtenstein-based LGT bulked up its technology teams. The bank is now focusing on the client-facing business by adding two more bankers to its Thai team, according to a report from «OGAxess».
Private bankers Karn Karuhadej and Lalitta Prachakit move to LGT to boost the Thai wealth unit from U.S. bank Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong.

LGT increased its headcount by 556 to 3,188 last year, a massive boost that was mostly associated with the acquisitions of European Capital and the Asia business of ABN Amro.
The fast-growing Thai wealth management market has grown in importance for private banks in Asia. Julius Baer was the latest foreign bank to gain access inking a deal with Siam Commercial Bank. Credit Suisse set up operations in Bangkok two years ago and Lombard Odier partnered with Kasikornbank, a domestic player.
