BNY Investment Management expands its intermediary business in Asia ex-Japan with the hire of two business development managers covering the segment from Hong Kong and Singapore.
Vivienne Lim and Billy Chung join BNY Investment Management’s offices in Singapore and Hong Kong, respectively, reporting to Nicolas Kopitsis, head of third party distribution, APAC ex-Japan at BNY Mellon Investment Management.
Lim has 15 years of sales and marketing experience working with private banks, retail banks and global fund mangers. She was most recently with Legg Mason as a Singapore-based vice president of business development.
Chung has 14 years of experience in client relationship management and business development. He was most recently with Invesco as a Hong Kong-based intermediary sales senior manager.
Expanded Segment Focus
According to Kopitsis, BNY Mellon Investment Management has been focusing on building relationships with private banks and global financial institutions over the past three years in the region, which Lim and Chung will continue to cover, but the firm will look to expand further to new segments.
«Going forward we will also be targeting retail banks, family offices and strategic partnerships in the region.,» he said.
Lim officially started in July this year and Chung started yesterday.
