One ‘big four’ state-owned lender exchanges executives with another, with the ex-ICBC president joining the Agricultural Bank of China.

Gu Shu was named chairman of the Agricultural Bank of China, according to a «Caixin» report citing unnamed sources, and was also named Communist Party chief of the state-backed lender.

Gu’s new role is pending regulatory and corporate approval.

Gu is an ICBC venter, working at China’s largest lender since 1998 where he took on leadership positions, including in London and Argentina, before becoming president in 2016.
