She will lead the sales team to secure new partnerships and cultivate strong relationships with existing private banking partners and carriers across North Asia.

Mercer has appointed Christina Wong as CEO for Private Client Services (PCS) Hong Kong, effective 11 October, the firm announced in a statement. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to PCS group CEO Joseph Low.

Wong, with 20 years of insurance and banking industry experience, joins Mercer from HSBC, where she most recently the head of third party and private banking distribution at HSBC Life. She previously held held leadership roles at Transamerica Life Bermuda, MetLife and Zurich International Life.

Growth Ambitions

In the announcement, Low highlighted PCS' global growth ambitions, particularly with the strong demand among high net worth (HNW) clients for greater insurance protection and wealth transference.

Mercer's PCS business focuses on integrated life insurance solutions and wealth planning for HNW clients. The company has offices across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Geneva and Zurich, and works closely with private banks and trustees globally to serve HNW clients in over 50 markets.
