BNP Paribas Wealth Management has hired a former private banker from Citi for the Southeast Asia market.
Gaurav Bathija joins BNP Paribas Wealth Management’s Singapore office as a managing director, according to his LinkedIn profile.
A «Bloomberg» report said he will be a senior relationship manager covering the Southeast Asia market.
Bathija joins from Citi Private Bank where he was its South Asia head of private capital group. Previously, he also worked at J.P. Morgan’s wealth arm for more than six years.
Singapore Expansion
BNP Paribas has been expanding in Singapore as of late, with a series of senior hires including ex-Pictet banker Ruth Chung as Greater China market head in the city-state.
In March, the French private bank named wealth veteran and ex-Credit Suisse executive Eleonore Dachicourt as its Singapore-based Asia head of sustainable and responsible investment.
