Global research house Morningstar bolsters its ESG business with the appointment of a client relations manager.
Morningstar Sustainalytics – the firm’s ESG arm for research, ratings and data – has appointed Liz Peng as client relations manager, according to a statement.
Based in Hong Kong, Peng will be responsible for leading sales and partnership opportunities across Asia for Sustainalytics’ Investor business, working closely with asset owners, asset managers, banks, as well as partnering with index providers and fintech companies.
Peng was most recently the head of institutional software sales at Morningstar. She first joined the firm in 2007 and has since held various roles across data, product and client services and sales.
Singapore Expansion
Mirroring the appointment in Hong Kong, Morningstar Sustainalytics is currently looking also looking to grow its presence in rival hub Singapore with a another new appointment.
«Morningstar Sustainalytics is committed to further strengthening our footprint in Asia, to that end, we are currently undertaking a search for an appointment in Singapore, to further assist in meeting the increasing demand for ESG research in the region,» said Morningstar Sustainalytics APAC ex-Japan senior director of client relations Chris Terzis.
