Citi has announced the appointment of cluster heads for the northern and southern regions of Asia.
Citi appoints Tim Monger as head of the North and East Asia cluster alongside Amol Gupte as head of the South Asia and ASEAN cluster, according to a statement, effective immediately.
Monger first joined Citi in 2017 and has been its APAC chief financial officer since 2019. Previously, he was a partner and head of UK financial services at Boston Consulting Group. Gupte has been with Citi for over 30 years, serving as its Singapore chief country officer (CCO) and ASEAN head since 2016.
Gupte’s successor will be announced shortly while Monger will retain his CFO role until a replacement has been named. The CCOs of Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan will report to Monger while the CCOs of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will report to Gupte.
