A longstanding partner at Pictet is stepping down after more than 20 years with the Geneva-based private bank.

Pictet's Bertrand Demole has decided to step down as managing partner, according to a statement, effective June 30. Demole will retain his role as non-executive vice chairman on the board of Pictet Alternative Advisors Holding.

Demole spent 22 years working at Pictet, including 20 years developing the alternative advisors business and 12 years as a managing partner. In fact, he even served as an intern at the Swiss bank at a young age.

«I started my first internship at Pictet when I was thirteen years old and have devoted my career to the firm out of a passion for its unique heritage,» said Demole. «Now is the time for me to pass on what we have created, but I will remain a permanent ambassador of Pictet.»
