The head of Citi’s commercial banking arm for Asia Pacific will relocate to New York to take on a new role.
Citi appoints Rajat Madhok as global head of Citi commercial bank credit risk, according to a statement. Madhok will relocate to New York from Hong Kong to take on the new role.
Madhok joined Citi in India in 1996 to take on various corporate banking and commercial banking roles. In 2011, he was named Citi commercial bank head for India before becoming APAC head of commercial bank in 2019.

According to Citi, Madhok joins a number of Asia-based senior bankers who have moved on to take global and US-based roles.
Other notable examples include personal banking and wealth management CEO Anand Selva, US head of personal banking Gonzalo Luchetti and global chief operating officer for Citi Global Wealth Valentin Valderrabano.
