Geneva-based UBP has expanded its investment services team with three new hires in Hong Kong and Singapore.
UBP appoints Andy Lee as head of investment services, North Asia, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports to Ivan Wong, head of region North Asia and chief executive Hong Kong as well as Geneva-based Michael Lok, co-CEO asset management and group chief investment officer.
Lee joins from HSBC’s private banking arm where was an investment counselling team head. Previously, he also worked at the global markets division of Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong.
Hedge Funds
Also based in Hong Kong, Ricky Siao joins as a hedge fund specialist in the investment services North Asia team.
Prior to UBP, Siao was an investment director at Penjiang Asset Management, Previously, he also worked at Silverhorn Investment Advisors, Citibank, UBS and JPMorgan Chase Bank.
Singapore Hire
And in Singapore, Chaitanya Komaravalli rejoins UBP from BNP Paribas as head of investment advisory, Southeast Asia.
In the role, he reports to Eric Morin, head of region Southeast Asia and chief executive Singapore as well as Paras Gupta, head of investment services Southeast Asia and head of discretionary portfolio management Asia.
