Paris-based asset manager Amundi has announced the appointment of a chief executive and vice chairman for Asia.
Amundi appoints Eddy Wong as CEO Asia and member of the executive committee, according to a statement. In the role, he will lead the firm’s operations in North and South Asia, as well as its joint ventures in mainland China.
Prior to joining Amundi, Wong was the CEO of JPMorgan Asset Management China. Previously, he also held senior positions at Eastspring Investments and HSBC Asset Management.
In addition, Amundi named Xiaofeng Zhong as vice chairman of Asia. He first joined Amundi in 2011 and is currently chairman of Greater China. Previously, Zhong also worked at Crédit Agricole in France and Greater China, mainly in investment banking roles.
