HSBC subsidiary and Hong Kong lender Hang Seng has named a new head of private banking and trust services.
Hang Seng has appointed Rachel Wei as head of private banking and trust services, according to a social media post. Wei joins from parent group HSBC where she was a managing director and market head within its private banking unit. Prior to that, she also worked at HSBC’s commercial banking unit.
Previously, Alison Law was Hang Seng’s private banking head before she took on the role of global head of distribution at HSBC Life in December 2023. Law is a 25-year HSBC veteran who returned to the British lender after a two-year stint with subsidiary Hang Seng.
