The global banking arm of HSBC has announced the appointment of a new head in Singapore.
Gilbert Ng has been appointed as head of global banking for Singapore, according to a statement, succeeding Priya Kini who took on a new role earlier this year as head of commercial banking, Singapore. Based in Singapore, Ng reports functionally to Christina Ma, head of global banking, Asia Pacific, as well as at the country level to HSBC Singapore CEO Wong Kee Joo.
Ng has extensive corporate finance and risk management experience as well as a strong client network that spans large local corporates, the public sector, financial institutions and multinationals in Singapore. Prior to joining HSBC, he worked at Citigroup for over 17 years, last as head of corporate banking, Singapore.
