The life insurance arm of HSBC has named a chief executive officer for Hong Kong.
HSBC Life Hong Kong has appointed Daisy Tsang as CEO, according to a statement, effective August 1 and pending regulatory approval. In the role, she will oversee operations in Hong Kong and Macau while reporting to HSBC Holding’s CEO of global insurance Edward Moncreiffe as well as Hong Kong general manager of wealth and personal banking Maggie Ng.
Tsang has worked at HSBC for over 20 years first as a marketing executive in 2000. She joined HSBC Life in 2012 and is currently its interim Hong Kong CEO as well as chief distribution and customer officer.
In Hong Kong, HSBC Life has a 26 percent market share in new business premiums and a 20 percent share in annualized new premiums.
