French asset manager Amundi has announced the appointment of a head of investment for Asia.

Amundi has appointed Florian Neto as head of investment, Asia, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he will oversee the firm’s investment activities across the region, excluding Japan.

Neto began his career at Amundi in New York in 2010 and was most recently the French asset manager’s head of investment, Hong Kong & Taiwan as well as head of multi-asset, Asia since 2022. He remains directly responsible for the region’s multi-asset platform.

He is a lead or co-lead portfolio manager of a range of open-ended funds and institutional multi-asset mandates for Asian clients. He also leads the outsourced CIO function for Asia clients and is a member of the Asia executive committee and other regional and global investment committees that define macro and asset class views.
