VP Bank
The Liechtenstein-based bank appointed Samuel Witjaksono as market head Indonesia, effective immediately. The move expands the bank's customer service team in Asia in one of its target markets, which are Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
Vistra
The trust and corporate services firm named Sherri Dai as managing director of Vistra China. She replaces Ernest Zheng, who stepped down from the position last month.
BNP Paribas
The French bank's asset management arm poached Guillaume Wehry from rival Amundi. He joins the company as marketing boss in Asia, effective immediately.
T. Rowe Price
The fund house poached Wenting Shen from rival Blackrock. She was hired as a solutions strategist at the U.S. firm's multi-asset division in Hong Kong.
J. Safra Sarasin
The Brazilian-Swiss private bank named Vinay Gandhi as chief executive for Singapore, effective immediately. This means that previous head Benedikt Maissen, who left last month after less than two years, won't be directly replaced. Instead, Gandhi, who is head for ultra-rich clients in Asia, expands his remit to include overseeing the Singapore branch as well.
Robeco
The asset manager appointed Tom Keenan as head of wholesale Asia ex-Japan, effective 20 February. Keening was previously head of private bank and wealth distribution for Asia ex-Japan and head of iShares ETF specialist sales at Blackrock.
Credit Suisse
Credit Suisse recently appointed five private bankers to cover the greater China market. Windmill Kong and Wang Yuqi joined as expert relationship managers, while Alexander Wong joined as senior relationship manager. Kong and Yuqi moved from Barclays wealth and Wong from UBS. All three are based in Hong Kong. In Singapore Sophia Ong joined as expert relationship manager while Carolyn Chee joined as senior relationship manager. Ong and Chee both moved from Standard Chartered.
