As we head into the weekend it has been another surprisingly active week for top wealth and related professionals.

In India the former head of DBS Bank India, Sanjiv Bhasin, is joining Centrum Capital as managing director and chief executive. The Mumbai-based financial services company is keen to leverage the expertise of top talent to speed up growth.

In Australia there has been a flurry of hires and departures. ANZ have announced the appointment of Martin Hanrahan as Global Head of Corporate Advisory, responsible for providing mergers and acquisitions services to International and Institutional Banking (IIB) clients in Australia and Asia. He will oversee ANZ’s corporate advisory team based in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore, which provides domestic and international M&A advisory services to public companies and private businesses, particularly for cross-border transactions.

Credit Suisse has hired long-time Macquarie equity capital markets banker, Wayne Kent, as vice chairman of its Australian investment banking business. Kent, who retired as Macquarie's global head of equity capital markets in 2011 after more then two decades with the bank, is expected to start in Credit Suisse's Melbourne office in mid July.

BNP Paribas has appointed an executive to the newly created role of head of asset and fund services business line in Australia. Ian Rae will focus on AFS operations, product, client and IT delivery to BNP Paribas clients in Australia. Rae will be reporting to BNP head of Australia and New Zealand, David Braga, and globally to head of AFS Operations Franck Dubois. Rae has been with the organisation since 2007 and is currently the head of UK fund accounting, based in London.

LaSalle Investment Management co-chief executive in Asia Pacific, Philip Ling, has stepped down from his role. Ling will become a non-executive director of the responsible entity for LaSalle's Australian business, while Mark Gabbay will continue as the sole chief executive for Asia Pacific.

In Singapore Standard Chartered Bank has made changes at senior level to its wealth management business, appointing Andrew Chia as global head of managed investments. The bank also appointed Sumeet Bhambri as regional head of wealth management for ASEAN.

BNP Paribas Cardif, the insurance arm of BNP Paribas for protection and savings businesses announced the appointment of Vincent Sussfeld as Chief Executive Officer for the Asian region, with immediate effect.  Based in Hong Kong, he succeeds Xavier Guilmineau who will take up new responsibilities within BNP Paribas Group.

On the legal front Singapore law firm Colin Ng & Partners has promoted investment funds and financial services specialist Amit Ramkrishn Dhume to its partnership. Dhume has more than 10 years of experience in corporate law, investment funds, mergers and acquisitions and regulatory and compliance.

Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners, Baker & McKenzie’s member firm in Indonesia, has named Erwandi Hendarta as its new managing partner, with Bakers’ member firms in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta also elected a new chairman. Hendarta is a senior partner and head of the firm’s finance and projects team, a post he will continue to hold in his new role.

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has grown its Korean practice with the hire of corporate partner Johneth Chongseo Park in the Seoul office. Park specialises in M&A, private equity and capital markets work.

And finally MasterCard have announced further changes to its senior leadership team in the APAC region. Matthew Driver has been appointed to the role of Group Executive, Global Products and Solutions for Asia Pacific.
