Tokyo headquartered Nikko Asset Management has appointed a Chief Risk Management Officer; the role entails additional accountabilities.
With in excess of 20 years of experience Mark de Vries is the new man charged with the responsibility for the governance of risk and related opportunities, encompassing Investment Risk Management and Enterprise Risk Management.
De Vries will report directly to Nikko Asset Management Director, Executive Deputy President, Junichi Sayato.
He was most recently Managing Director, Head of Quantitative Analytics and Risk at Dymon Asia Capital in Singapore. Prior to that he worked with ABN Amro Bank, Shinsei Bank, Bear Sterns and Nomura International in various global locations.
