2. Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

Martin Scorsese’s take on a Long Island-based «pump and dump» stockbroker founded by Jordan Belfort showcases a hedonistic lifestyle full of drugs, sex and midget-tossing. With Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, the 2013 film was partly financed with money allegedly pilfered from Malaysian state fund 1MDB.

DiCaprio even thanked alleged 1MDB financial mastermind Jho Low in a Hollywood awards speech, before later turning to U.S. authorities.

Barred from the securities industry for life, Belfort turned to motivational speaking after serving 20 months in jail.
