According to the latest findings from Knight Frank’s 11th Edition of The Wealth Report, Sydney and Melbourne are in the top 10 list of most important cities globally for the wealthiest to invest.

To meet the growing demand Knight Frank Australia has now established a Prestige Residential Division to serve the ultra high net worth clients (UHNW) and added newly-created roles. To launch the division, the firm has recruited Deborah Cullen from Colliers International’s Lifestyle Estates team as Knight Frank’s Head of Prestige Residential Sales, Australia.

She also brings from her previous team Richard Sholl, who joins Knight Frank as Sales Executive, Australia, for the Prestige Residential Sales division.

Cullen has a wealth of experience in the prestige and luxury lifestyle market in Australia that spans 15 years. Her team will focus primarily on prestige Australian residential sales over $3 million Australian dollars.

In Sydney, Knight Frank’s Asian Markets team recently closed three high-end residential transactions to the value of over $26 million. 

Australia’s Growing Ultra-Wealthy Population

According to the latest findings from Knight Frank’s 11th Edition of The Wealth Report, Sydney and Melbourne are in the top 10 list of most important cities globally for the wealthiest to invest.

The report also reveals that Sydney has seen an annual net inflow of 4,000 High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), while Melbourne and Perth have seen a net inflow of 3,000 and 1,000 HNWIs respectively.

Sydney is at the top of the list for the highest net inflows of HNWIs globally, with the inflow representing growth of 4 percent of the HNWI population already based in the city. Melbourne comes in at second on the list globally
