This week Singapore will play host to another round of technology auditions. But although the backer is a global bank, the focus this time around is not on fintech.
Exactly 103 finalists from 25 countries were selected to present their solutions at the «Demo Days,» and now after pitches in Abu Dhabi, Mexico City Beunos Aires and Dublin, the spotlight falls on the Asian leg being hosted by the Lion-City.
The Citi Tech for Integrity Challenge (T4I) aims to encourage technology innovators from around the world to create cutting-edge solutions to promote integrity, accountability and transparency in the public sector and beyond.
Asia's Opportunity
The initiative, led by Citi in collaboration with public and private sector allies, will provide public sector entities with access to tech innovators and their ideas on how to increase transparency and efficiency.
T4I will also provide the support and infrastructure that tech innovators need to tailor new technology solutions for this market.
Home Grown Hopefuls
Among the global entrants are five home grown hopefuls, CashShield, Dathena, Sqreem, Taiger Singapore and VoxSmart.
The 18 finalists will present their solutions at the Singapore Demo Day on 9 June.
«By supporting open innovation and providing innovators with the tools they need to develop ideas, we hope to help solve some of the biggest challenges that the public sector faces,» said Julie Monaco, Global Head of the Public Sector Group in Citi’s Corporate and Investment Banking division.
