A director in Lazard's investment banking team is leaving to join a technology company as head of business development.
Investment banker David Wills has resigned from Lazard to join the online company InfoTrack, according to a report in «The Australian.»
Wills has worked for Lazard across various transactions at the bank since 2010. Prior to that he spent seven years with Macquarie in London and before that was a senior manager with Deloitte in Sydney.
He joins the steady flow of bankers leaving the industry for a new career in the burgeoning technology sector.
Good Timing
InfoTrack recently deferred plans for an Initial Public Offering, and is now believed to in growth mode targeting both organic and M&A openings.
The company owns a proprietary software platform that law firms and conveyancers to search for information including property titles, plans and dealings, as well as offering services such as settlements, stamping and document registrations.
Lazard had previously advised InfoTrack on its listing plans.
