Hamilton Lane has expanded into Australia with the opening an office in Sydney and a new senior appointment.
As part of the expansion, the firm has hired James Martin to lead the office and head up the alternative investment manager's Australian and New Zealand business.
Martin, who has joined as a Principal, will provide support for the firm’s client base in the region and will lead business development efforts across Australia and New Zealand, the firm said on its website.
Ten Years in The Making
Prior to taking up the new role he spent more than five years with Partners Group, where he focused on institutional sales and deal origination. Previously, he was an Associate Director of Institutional Business at Pinnacle Investment Management, and prior to that spent more than nine years at Macquarie Group.
