Crestone Wealth Management has announced the appointment of a former Westpac executive to the company’s board.
In a statement on its website Crestone, which was established last year by former UBS Wealth Management employees, announced the appointment of Peter Hawkins to the role of independent board director effective from the end of September 2017.
Hawkins currently serves on the board of Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) and is chair of the technology committee for the Westpac board. He also serves on the boards of Mirvac Group and Liberty Financial.
Regulatory and Technological Expertise
Hawkins’ career includes a 34-year tenure with ANZ where he held various senior executive and directorship positions, including group managing director, group strategic development.
His independent counsel and direct knowledge of the regulatory and technology shifts impacting the Australian financial services sector will help to guide Crestone’s strategic positioning, the wealth manager said in its statement.
