«Agility» is finance's new buzzword – everyone wants to be nimble. Early indications are that banks aren't just giving the term lip service – several firms have managed to carve out niches for themselves.
Zug-based Partners Group for example is one of the world's best private equity firms, private bank Julius Baer has taken Asian wealth management by storm, and Avaloq, Temenos and most recently Additiv have spread their wings far beyond Switzerland.
Swiss banking is now a collective term for a wide variety of financial providers whose services have little or nothing to do with private banking of the past.
