The international distribution of funds has become a complex matter. The UBS fund center is now reducing the compliance burden with the help of a Zurich regency.
Investment Navigator, a Swiss-based regtech, is now on the platform of UBS Fondcenter, a subsidiary of the Swiss bank's asset management arm. Investment Navigator will use its technology for cross-border distribution of funds, the startup said on Tuesday.
Steadily-increasing compliance requirements also affect the fund industry, and in particular cross-border distribution. Among other things, Investment Navigator shows where restrictions are for distribution and which products correspond to the regulatory requirements of the individual markets. Regtech was founded in 2014 by Alberto Rama and Julian Koehler.
