French insurer Axa has appointed several new members to its Executive Committee in Singapore. These appointments follow Axa’s recent acquisition of XL Group.

Kevin Leong has been named Managing Director, Commercial Lines, in addition to his current responsibilities as Country Leader, Singapore – Insurance for Axa XL, a division of Axa Group, the french firm said in a media release.

Additionally, Juliet Khew has been promoted to Managing Director, Health, following her previous position as Director, Commercial Health, and Hayley Yap has taken on the role of Chief People Officer, succeeding Priya Shahane, who has been appointed Global Head of Executive Talent Resourcing of AXA Group.

Market Leader in Property & Casualty

In his new role, Leong will be co-reporting to Jean Drouffe, CEO, Axa Singapore, and Craig Langham, Chief Executive, Asia Pacific, Axa XL.

This appointment follows Axa’s recent acquisition of XL Group and the subsequent creation of the Axa XL division, which has made the firm the market leader in Property & Casualty commercial lines locally and globally.
