The ASEAN Financial Innovation Network (AFIN) signed two memorandums of understanding with PwC Singapore and Bridge+ to further strengthen its cloud-based API Exchange (APIX) platform.
AFIN’s APIX platform aims to enable partnerships between financial institutions and fintech firms in the region for various activities ranging from design to marketing. The newly signed MoUs aim to enhance the proposition by improving connectivity and real estate solutions.
With PwC Singapore’s Venture Hub, fintech firms on the APIX platform can connect with venture capitalists, incubators and accelerators for business expansion. In addition, PwC services can be offered at preferential rates.
And with real estate giant CapitaLand’s Bridge+, fintech firms can tap a full range of co-working spaces and monthly subscription plans for access to shared working spaces in key Asian markets. CapitaLand senior executive director Manohar Khiatani highlighted its Bridge+ Ascent projects which already house fintech firms in Singapore, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Bangalore.
«In addition to the online community offered through APIX, FinTechs would require physical world services that can fast track and support their growth trajectory,» said Sopnendu Mohanty, chief fintech officer of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
