Citi has released more details about its new global market manager hire.
Former Credit Suisse managing director Lillian Liao, the hire of which finews.asia earlier reported, will be joining Citi in the new Singapore-based role later this month to manage a team of private bankers catering to the needs of Chinese entrepreneurs in Singapore, the bank confirmed on Tuesday.
In a statement, Citi noted that China’s economic growth in recent decades has nurtured many outstanding entrepreneurs who are successfully exporting their products, services and ideas globally, and many are attracted to the advanced regulatory and familiar cultural environment in Singapore.
The bank said these entrepreneurs will need banking partners who can provide them with tailor-made offerings to facilitate their investing, financing, strategic advisory, estate planning and banking needs.
