Thought to be a contender to succeed Zeno Staub as CEO of Vontobel, Marko Roeder announced he wishes to step down from his role as the head of Asset Management.
Zurich-based Vontobel announced today that head of Wealth Management Georg Schubiger and Christel Rendu de Lint, head of Investments, will lead Vontobel as Co-CEOs, effective January 1, replacing Zeno Staub.
At the same time, it announced Marko Roeder, a contender for the CEO role, informed the Board of Directors he wants to step down from his current role as head of Asset Management next year for personal reasons and to take on a new role within or outside the Vontobel Group.
He was appointed head of Asset Management in 2021 after having spent over a decade as head of Sales, driving Vontobel’s expansion to become a globally diversified provider of actively managed investment solutions for asset management clients.
