Geneva-based private bank Bordier & Cie has signed a partnership with Zurich-headquartered crypto lender Sygnum to leverage its digital asset capabilities in Singapore.
Bordier & Cie (Singapore) has entered a partnership with Sygnum Singapore to provide digital asset services, according to a statement. The tie-up will allow Bordier to leverage the crypto lender's institutional-grade custody, risk management and off-balance sheet digital assets.
«Our partnership with Sygnum demonstrates our commitment to bringing innovation and sophistication to our clients at Bordier & Cie,» said Bordier managing director and Singapore CEO Evrard Bordier. «I am confident that this will meet the demand for alternative investments in digital assets.»
Global Partners
This is Sygnum’s first B2B client in Singapore after securing a major payment institutions license in October that allowed it to launch its regulated digital payment token brokerage service in the city-state. Globally, it has enabled more than 15 banks and international financial institutions on its B2B platform to access a wide range of regulated digital asset services.
«From Geneva to Singapore, Bordier & Cie, through this partnership, continues on its 179-year tradition of preserving value for the next generation in a place that shares many of its values. By expanding its Singapore offering with digital assets, it is once again looking to the future for its clients,» said Sygnum co-founder and Singapore CEO Gerald Goh.
