The digital asset hub ambitions of Hong Kong have been furthered following the official launch of crypto exchange-traded funds for trading.
Harvest Global Investment’s spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETF) have officially listed for trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to a statement. The product leverages a partnership with BOCI-Prudential Trustee as well as OSL Digital Securities. Other asset managers that have also listed their own spot crypto ETFs include Bosera and China AMC, according to exchange data.
Hong Kong has joined the crypto ETF race after the Securities and Exchange Commission authorized the first batch in the US over three months ago.
