HSBC Singapore has made three new senior hires for its Retail Banking and Wealth Management unit: Alice Fok (Head of Customer Propositions & Marketing), Ranojoy Dutta (Head of Retail Products), and Ian Yim (Head of Wealth & International), the bank announced in a statement on Thursday.
Fok, who has 20 years of industry experience, joins from Citibank Singapore, where she was most recently a director in its consumer banking business. She will oversee the Customer Experience, Customer Propositions and Marketing teams, effective 5 August.
Ranojoy Dutta, Head of Retail Products, HSBC

He will oversee the various products teams including deposits, payments solutions, credit cards, loans and mortgages, effective 1 April.
Ian Yim, Head of Wealth & International, HSBC
Yim (pictured above), also with 20 years of experience, was HSBC former head of Premier International. According to the bank, his appointment as head of Wealth & International, effective 1 May, will «ensure continuity of key initiatives that will further drive the growth momentum of the bank’s Wealth business.»
Singapore Growth
Under its Group Asia Wealth strategy unveiled in 2018, HSBC said it would double the overall combined retail and private banking total wealth and add more than 400 retail and private banking customer-facing employees over five years. To support this, HSBC Singapore introduced structural changes and two new teams: Customer Propositions & Marketing and Retail Products.
«Since we embarked on our new strategy, our business has grown exponentially and, to sustain this trajectory, we need laser-like focus on delivering excellent customer service. This means generating deep customer insights, designing and delivering unique products and propositions, and having the agility to meet changing customer needs. It also requires having the right structure and people in place,» Anurag Mathur, HSBC Singapore's head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, said about the appointments.
