Following a 12-year stint at Temasek, most recently as the director of its India team, he will join the India and Southeast Asia-focused private equity firm.
Mumbai-based Everstone Capital has hired Vibhor Kumar Talreja as a managing director who will lead the firm's financial services division, among other responsibilities, the private equity firm announced in a press release.
Talreja joins from Singapore state investor Temasek Holdings, where he was the director of its India team. He joined Temasek in 2007, and led decision making on investments and divestments of over $2 billion each across private and public transactions, working in sectors like financial services, industrials/consumer, real estate and telecommunications, the statement said. He is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore and has also worked at JM Morgan Stanley and Tata Administrative Services, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Everstone has more than $5 billion in assets across private equity, real estate, green infrastructure and venture capital. The firm operates seven offices in Singapore, India (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore), Mauritius, London and New York.
