Citi bolsters its sustainable finance capabilities with a new appointment focused on investment banking in Asia.
Rapheal Mun has been named head of sustainability and corporate transitions (SCT) of Citi’s banking capital markets and advisory (BCMA) group in Asia Pacific, according to a statement.
Mun will relate from London to Singapore and report to APAC head of BCMA Jan Metzger, global SCT co-head Keith Tuffley and Singapore country officer Amol Gupte.
Mun has over 19 years of experience across structured finance, infrastructure, power, energy and real estate. She is currently a senior banker in project and infrastructure finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
SCT Unit
Citi’s SCT unit was formed in May 2020 and is co-headed New York-based Bridget Fawcett alongside London-based Tuffley.
«This new position in the region underlines the role Asia Pacific has to play in Citi’s sustainability strategy and delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients across the region,» said Metzger. «Many are actively seeking solutions by investing in new technologies and innovations, pursuing M&A activity, and raising green capital to fund their sustainability ambitions.»
Year-to-date, Citi has raised over $30 billion in sustainable financing for Asian clients, according to the bank.
