He will focus on growing the management and technology consultancy's business and supporting clients in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. 

Capco has announced the appointment of Steve Halliwell as head of Southeast Asia, t0 drive its growth strategy and talent acquisition program in the region, the London-headquartered company announced on Thursday.

Halliwell has been a partner at Capco since 2013, and has transferred to Singapore from the company’s New York office for the role. He oversaw and grew key relationships across a range of Tier 1 global financial institutions as part of a significant expansion of Capco’s U.S. business. 

Before Capco, Halliwell spent 14 years working in senior roles at Morgan Stanley in the U.S., Japan and the U.K., during which time his responsibilities included major design, build and implementation initiatives across the front office, operations and technology.

«We are seeing high levels of engagement among institutions around wealth management, particularly in respect of digitalization opportunities and mobile-focused solutions,» Halliwell said about the opportunities in the region.

He also noted the «tremendous» demand in the data space in terms of innovation around analytics and aggregation, as well as the growing influence of insurtechs within thence  insurasector and the potential they bring to reshape solutions and customer journeys.
