The firm said it made the appointment in response to increased demand for investigative services relating to complex issues such as fraud, corruption, disputes, asset searches and global supply chain management across Singapore and the ASEAN region.
Kroll has appointed Saket Bhartia as a managing director in the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence practice, based in Singapore, according to an announcement on Thursday.
«He is bolstering our firm’s service offerings in Singapore and the wider ASEAN region at the perfect time. His years of experience will be key to helping our clients manage a rising tide of new and complex challenges, which is not unexpected given the fast growth in investments in the region,» Reshmi Khurana, managing director and head of Southeast Asia, Forensic Investigations and Intelligence, Kroll, said.
Extensive Experience
Bhartia brings more than 20 years of experience managing a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues. Bhartia previously served as an associate partner at EY in Singapore, where he assisted clients with financial/bribery/corruption/code of conduct/supply chain investigations.
He also has extensive experience working on compliance and regulatory matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the U.K. Bribery Act (UKBA) and has helped several global and local clients set strong compliance frameworks, including performing fraud risk assessments and data analytics to minimize risk.
