State Street Global Advisors has appointed a new head to lead its passives business in Singapore.
Jermyn Wong joins State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) as its head of SPDR ETF Singapore, according to a statement, reporting to managing director and head of SPDR ETFs Asia Pacific distribution Meaghan Victor.
Wong has 10 years of experience in the Singapore financial industry and was previously Nikko Asset Management's Asia head of ETF business development.
«Singapore is home to some of the leading ETF investors in Asia Pacific. We see growing regional demand for local and internationally domiciled ETFs at a double-digit rate over the last decade, with adoption accelerating since 2020,» said Victor.
As of end-March, SSGA was the fourth largest asset manager with over $4 trillion in assets under management, according to the statement.
