Citi has appointed a single head of equity capital markets for Australia and New Zealand, relinquishing the co-head structure.
Managing director Rob Jahrling has been named the sole head of ECM for Australia and New Zealand, according to a statement. Jahrling will continue to report to head of banking, capital markets and advisory Alex Cartel as well as global co-heads of ECM Douglas Adams and James Fleming.
Jahrling joined Citi in 2010 as head of equity syndicate before being appointed as the co-head of ECM in January 2021.
The latest appointment follows the exit of the bank’s former ECM co-head of Australia and New Zealand Hamish Whitehead who left to join Credit Suisse as its ECM head for Australia last week.
