Paris-headquartered Amundi has announced the appointment of a new South Asia head of institutional sales.
Amundi appoints Lawrence Wee as head of institutional sales for South Asia, according to a statement, based in Singapore.
Prior to joining Amundi, Wee was the regional head of business development and marketing at Mizuho-owned Asset Management One. Previously, he also worked at Manulife Investment Management and Tokio Marine Asset Management after starting his career at First Sentier Investors in 2001.
Amundi is a Crédit Agricole-owned subsidiary with 5,400 employees in 35 countries. As of 2022 December 31, it had over 1.9 trillion euros ($2 trillion) in assets under management.
