Frankfurt-headquartered DWS has announced two senior appointments to strengthen its real estate team in Asia.
DWS appoints Junghoon Kook as head of real estate, Korea, according to a statement, and he also joins DWS Korea’s board of directors.
Kook has 18 years of industry experience and joined DWS in 2021. Prior to that, he spent more than three years at Shinhan where he was last the head of real estate and structured finance division in its asset management arm.
Singapore Real Estate
DWS also appoints Leiting Deng as head of real estate, Singapore. Deng takes on the expanded role in addition to her existing responsibilities as portfolio manager for the Asian funds business.
Deng has more than 16 years of real estate experience and joined DWS in 2013. Previously, she also worked at LaSalle Investment Management and CapitaMall Trust (now CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust).
Kook and Deng are based in Seoul and Singapore, respectively, and they both report to Christopher Kimm, head of real estate, Asia Pacific.
