Toronto-headquartered insurer Sun Life has announced the appointment of a chief distribution officer for Asia.
Patrick Wei joins Sun Life as chief distribution officer Asia, according to a statement. He has over 30 years of experience in insurance distribution in the region and previously worked at Aviva where he led the business in multi-channel distribution, bancassurance partnerships and more.

His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow our channels and better serve the needs of our clients in Asia,» said Sun Life chief client and distribution officer David Broom.
Sun Life is a Toronto-headquartered insurer with a global presence, including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, India, China, Australia, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia in Asia. As of 30 September 2023, it had $1.34 trillion in assets under management.
