Bank of New York Mellon has hired a former HSBC executive to lead its corporate trust business in Asia Pacific.

BNY has appointed Jamie Pratt as head of APAC corporate trust, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he reports globally to Cécile Nagel, global head of corporate trust and and locally to Fangfang Chen, head of APAC. He will also join the Corporate Trust Executive Council and the APAC Leadership Council.

Pratt was most recently working at HSBC where he led its issuer services business across the Americas, providing client solutions across corporate trust, loans, structured and project finance client segments for both domestic and international transactions. Prior to that, he worked at Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank as a securitization banker.

«With a career spanning more than 25 years in corporate trust, private capital, securitization, coverage and sales, Jamie’s appointment comes at a time when we continue to drive growth globally. It underscores our dedication and commitment to our APAC teams and clients,» commented Nagel.
