Eight Roads Ventures has appointed a new Partner to its China Ventures team in Shanghai. Among other areas the team focuses on the growing area of fintech investment in China.
Joe Chang joins Eight Roads from SoftBank China Venture Capital where he was a Partner. Prior to that he was Head of Corporate Development at Cisco Greater China.
Chang also held various senior sales and general management roles in Microsoft China, having spent the first 10 years of his career in consulting in China and the US, first with Coopers & Lybrand, then McKinsey.

Eight Roads (formerly Fidelity Growth Partners) is the proprietary investment arm of Fidelity International (FIL). Among its track record it includes investment in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
Chang's recruitment is the latest in a series of global recruits to the growing Eight Roads Ventures team. Michael Treskow from Accel and Rohit Krishnan from McKinsey recently joined the European Ventures team in London as partner and vice-president respectively.
