U.S. headquartered Principal Financial Group has named a new managing director, head of Asia, excluding Japan, for Principal Global Investors.
Celestine Khoo, as finews.asia reported last year, has been the managing director, head of Southeast Asia since 2015.
With effect from July 1st, she assumed responsibility for the Hong Kong and Beijing offices of Principal Global Investors in North Asia, while remaining responsible for the office in Singapore, the firm said in a media release.
Tremendous Opportunities
As part of the global management team, she will oversee business development and growth of Principal Global Investors’ business. Khoo will report to Kirk West, executive director- head of international offices for Principal Global Investors, who is also based in Singapore.
«Asia is expected to grow by 6.5 percent per annum till 2022, the growing economic integration, the demographics and the infrastructure buildout bring tremendous opportunities and I am excited to work with my peers to drive the strategic direction of Principal forward in Asia,» said Khoo.
