Stephenson Harwood has confirmed plans to open a new office in Yangon, Myanmar, further expanding the firm's reach across Southeast Asia.
The firm has a well-established Myanmar practice, built up over the past 20 years, which has been based in the Singapore office.
It has acted on some of the largest strategic market entries, commercial joint ventures and M&A, across a broad range of sectors in the frontier market.
Stephenson Harwood will open in Myanmar on 1 September 2017, expanding the firm's presence in Asia to six offices and two associated offices.
Tom Platts, will take on the role of lead partner of the Myanmar practice.
