National Australia Bank appointed a seasoned banker to the role of executive general manager Specialised Banking.

National Australia Bank (NAB) has named Julie Rynski for the newly created role of executive general manager Specialised Banking. Rynski will be based in Melbourne and report to chief customer officer, Business and Private Banking, Angela Mentis.

She joins NAB from rival Australian lender Westpac where,in two stints she spent in the region of fifteen years. Her last role was general manager Small, Medium Enterprises and Connect NOW, a role in which she established a dedicated SME division, drove significant improvements and introduced pre-approved limits for existing customers. In between her time at Westpac she spent five years with BankWest where she was head of business banking private bank and customer services.

In her new position Rynski will lead NAB’s team of dedicated bankers in Agribusiness, Health, Education, Government and Community and Franchising. Her brief will be to deliver specialist banking services and extend NAB’s market share in Australia’s fastest growing sectors, NAB said in a press release.
