Bank of Singapore has added a former executive director from UBS to its Hong Kong team, finews.asia can report exclusively.

Louisa Fok joined Bank of Singapore, the private banking arm of OCBC Bank, as china equity strategist based in Hong Kong. She took up her new role on September 11, according to a spokesperson of the bank.

Fok joined from Swiss bank UBS in Hong Kong where she was executive director at the chief investment office of UBS Wealth Management. She joined the Zurich-based bank in April 2014.

Prior to that role she was with First State Investments from 2010 through to 2013 where she was a senior investment analyst. Fok also worked with HSBC as regional head of real estate research from 2008 to 2010. Before these roles she worked as a research analyst with Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse in Hong Kong.

Bank of Singapore has been adding resources to its Greater China and North Asian business units as demand from China has grown. The firm, under direction of Sermon Kwan, the chief executive of the Hong Kong branch and global market head for Greater China, has been experiencing robust growth thanks to an aggressive expansion in Hong Kong and other key locations in Greater China.
