Switzerland's leading wealth managers lost senior bankers in Asia.
UBS Wealth Management operating head for Southeast Asia Philip Kunz has resigned. Kunz took on the newly created role responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations for the business in June this year. He was previously the Indonesia market head for the last seven years at UBS. Prior to joining the Swiss bank he was regional head of wealth management for HSBC Private Bank in Singapore.
Ashwin Jayaram a team head at Credit Suisse Private Banking non-resident Indian (NRI) desk has resigned. Jayaram was an executive director as well as NRI team head. He was based in Singapore and reported to Balakrishnan Kunnambath, group head for NRI Asia-Pacific and Indian sub-continent.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse he spent just over six years with now defunct Banca dellaSvizzera Italiana (BSI) in Singapore where he was managing director and team head. He spent the same length of time with Coutts as senior vice president before that. Jayaram began his banking career with HSBC in India.
